The Society has always helped talented young singers by giving them performing opportunities throughout the twenty-five year history of the Festival. Many have gone on to very successful careers - Thomas Allen, Ian Partridge, Janet Baker, John Shirley-Quirk, and Emma Kirkby to name but a few.
First Prize: £2000 and a performance in the London Handel Festival 2005
Second prize: £1000

Please complete and detach the application form and return it with the required documentation and fee. Please keep a copy of the form and programme and retain these instructions for reference. We are happy to receive applications from now until 31st January 2004. Please try and include all the items requested.
Age limit
Minimum of 23 years old at 16 February 2004.
Repertoire
You should present an imaginative and well-balanced programme. Presentation and programming will be assessed with the performance. Works should be sung in the original language and key.
There is to be no repeat of repertoire throughout the competition with the exception of the CV/tape round.
Tenors may adapt a Handel cantata written for soprano, but please let us know if you are doing this.
