Since Ardee Baroque began The Irish Baroque Orchestra, Ireland’s only period instrument orchestra has been its backbone. Colourful and exciting, this programme is designed to showcase the talents of the Irish Baroque Orchestra, in particular, the extraordinary virtuosity of soloist and artistic director Monica Huggett and leader Claire Duff, with as many as twelve different soloists performing throughout the evening. Vivaldi’s L'Estro Armonico (Harmonic Inspiration) op.3 (published in 1711 in Amsterdam) is a collection of twelve concertos for 1, 2 and 4 violins.
