A total of 10 concerts have been programmed this year, with a clear predominance of the music of the Austrian composer and the little room remaining reserved for works by Tomasini and Mozart.
The Festival’s programs consist of Haydn’s Sonatas, String Quartets, Piano Trios, Symphonies Hob. I:102 and Hob. I:57; the Schöpfungsmesse, Hob XXII:13, Te Deum, Hob. XXIIIc:2, and the Nikolaimesse, Hob. XXII:6, among other works.
The concerts feature excellent groups and performers such as the Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra in programs conducted by Nicholas McGegan and György Vashegyi, the Trio Antiqua, Festetics Quartet, Quinque Voces conducted by Zoltán Mizsei, Van Swieten Trio, Capella Savaria and soloists including Katalin Komlós (fortepiano), Christine Schornsheim (harpsichord, fortepiano), Mária Zádori (soprano) and Zsolt Kalló (violin).
