October 2006-March 2007.
This year, AMIA, the Association of Amis de la Musique sur Instruments Anciens of Strasbourg celebrates its 31st concert season. Since its creation, the main objective of this society has been to present new French performers and a variety of musical styles and genres.

The concert cycle begins in October with the Ensemble Suonare e Cantare and its program “La route des épices”, consisting of Renaissance and baroque Spanish music, with works by J. del Encina, L. Milan, D. Pisador, Andalusí and Sephardic music, and extracts from the Llivre Vermeil de Montserrat.

On 16 January Blandine Rannou gives a harpsichord recital featuring music by the great European composers of the Age of Enlightenment. On 3 February the Ensemble La Fenice with Arianna Savall, soprano, will perform the program “Un camino de Santiago”, consisting of seventeenth-century Italian and Spanish music. On 18 February the Ensemble Spirale will perform the programme “Portraits croisés en musique” featuring works by Sainte-Colombe, Marais, Forqueray, Couperin and Rameau. On 29 March the Ensemble Convivencia will stage the musical production “Le Capitaine Fracasse”.

On 12 April Ensemble Diabolus in Musica will perform the programme entitled “Le Conte du Graal” based on the medieval legend of Chrétien de Troyes. On 4 May Ensemble Ausonia with Isabelle Desrochers, soprano, will present a recital of arias and instrumental pieces by Francoeur, Couperin, Lully and Rameau. A separate concert has also been scheduled for 13 March featuring the Ensemble Philidor and Aline Zylberajch, fortepiano, with works by Honauer, Pleyel, Blasius, Mozart, Grétry, Monsigny and Muller.
