This year the festival’s title is "1000 Years of Music in Aime", and it will be inaugurated by the Compagnie Talon Pointe with their programme "Bal Renaissance". From 14 July to 10 August, 2006.
On Saturday 15 July Le Concert Impromptu will pay homage to Frank Zappa and the London Haydn Quartet with the clarinettist Eric Hoeprich will perform a concert of works by Mozart and Haydn. Tuesday 25 July sees one of the Festival’s biggest attractions when Gérard Lesne’s Il Seminario Musicale perform a programme of works by Dowland, Purcell and Charpentier. The viola da gamba duo Les Voix Humaine (Susie Napper and Margaret Little) will present the program "Folies!" on 27 July, consisting of music by Sainte Colombe, Marais and Couperin.
On Monday 31 July the harpsichordist Luc Beausejour will perform the Goldberg Variations. On Tuesday 1 August and Wednesday 2 August, on two different stages, the Trio Rincontro, consisting of Pablo Valetti, Patricia Gagnon and Petr Skalka will perform a program of works by Mozart, Haydn and Eybler. "Flute and Voice in Dialogue" is the title of the concerts performed by the Beduschi Trio on 3 and 4 August.
Another important event scheduled for 7 and 8 August is the Ensemble Jachet de Mantoue, who will present the program "Sacred and Secular Music of the Renaissance". On 9 and 10 August the ensemble Música Temprana will present their program "Women in Baroque South America". The concerts will take place in churches in the localities of Aime, Moûtiers, Montgirod, Seez, St Martin de Belleville, Val d´Isere, La Giettaz, Peisey Nancroix, St Bon, Maribel, Tignes les Boisses and Albertville.
