This joyful celebration of sacred music, held in one of the world's greatest pilgrimage destinations, features internationally renowned musicians performing nine concerts in churches, cloisters and palaces.

The outstanding line-up of performers includes the Gabrieli Consort, La Serenissima, the Dominant Quartet, Rosemary Joshua and Neal Davies, performing music by Bach, Tallis, Holst, Monteverdi, Byrd and Haydn, amongst many others. The concert venues are the finest buildings in the city, including the Cathedral of St James, Convento de San Francisco, Palacio de San Lorenzo and Monasterio de San Martín Pinario.

The concerts are private, admission being exclusive to those who book a package, which includes:

  • all nine concerts
  • accommodation for five nights in the Parador Hostal de los Reyes Católicos, founded in 1499 and one of the best known and architecturally ambitious of the historic hotels in Spain
  • lectures on the music, history, architecture and pilgrimage
  • flights between the UK and Spain (there is a price reduction for those who prefer to arrange their own flights)
  • three dinners and one lunch with wine, all breakfasts
  • coach travel between airport and hotel
  • all tips and taxes
  • the assistance of a team of Spanish speaking festival staff
  • a detailed programme booklet and other practical and cultural information
