The first of the concerts will take place on 10 September in Logroño and the last on 13 September in Estella. Apart from the four concerts common to Logroño and Vitoria, another two concerts will also take place in Estella.

The Musicians of the Globe will open the cycle, accompanied by the soprano Joanne Lunn in the program “All the King’s Men”, consisting of works by Ferrabosco, Johnson, Lawes and Wilson, among others. This concert will be performed on 10 September on Logroño, on the 11th in Vitoria and on the 12th in Estella. It will then be the turn of the duo formed by Vittorio Ghielmi, viola da gamba, and Lorenzo Ghielmi, harpsichord, with works by Bach, Marais, Marchand and Forqueray, on 11 September in Logroño, on the 12th in Vitoria and on the 13th in Estella.

“Les plaisirs du palais” is the title of the program to be performed by the Ensemble Clèment Janequin, a concert consisting of works by Compère, Barbion, Willaert, Desprez, Janequin and Sermisy, which has been programmed for Logroño on 12 September, Vitoria on the 13th and Estella on the 14th. Concluding the cycle of concerts common to the three cities is the Spanish ensemble Los Músicos de su Alteza with a program dedicated to Scarlatti.

The ensemble will perform works by D. Scarlatti, de Nebra and Avison with the soprano Raquel Andueza on 13 September in Logroño, on the 14th in Vitoria and the 15th in Estella. In the city of Estella these concerts will be combined with a further two concerts. On 11 September the Divina ensemble and the Coro Melòdi will perform the program “Luces del canto bizantino” (Lights of Byzantine Chant).

And a family concert will be held on 16 September featuring the Nova Lux Ensemble and Fernando Palacios. The program “Ensaladas Aliñadas” (literally Seasoned Salads, the ensalada being a genre of Spanish music) is based on works by Mateo Flecha. In Logroño, all the concerts will take place at the Chamber Hall of Riojaforum at 20:30. In Vitoria, all four concerts will be held at the Iglesia de San Pedro at 20:15; while in Estella all the concerts will take place at the Iglesia San Miguel at 20:00, except the last, which will be held at the Sala Golem-Los Llanos at 12:00.
