Performing in the third concert, on 4 November, are lutenist Rolf Lislevand and organist Peter Waldner, with works by Dowland, Kapsberger, Weiss, Pachelbel, Böhm and Bach. Peter Waldner returns in the 2 December concert, on this occasion with a lautenwerk (lute-harpsichord) concert made up of works by Bach. His new CD will be presented during the concert.
On 6 January the organist and composer Bert Matter will perform a programme of improvisations on works by Buxtehude and Bach, as well as some of his own compositions. The trio formed by Pino de Vittorio, percussion, Marcelo Vitale, guitar, and Leonardo Massa, cello, will present a program of Italian music on 25 January. On 24 February the ensemble La Reverdie, formed by the sisters Claudia and Livia Caffagni and Elisabetta and Ella de Mircovich will present a program entitled “Night and Light”.
Another organ recital will take place on 17 March. On this occasion, Ferruccio Baroletti will improvise the soundtrack to Giulio Antamoro’s film Christus, produced in 1916. The harpist Andrew Lawrence-King will give a recital of music by Dowland and other English composers on 4 April. On 27 April the French ensemble Les Sacqueboutiers de Toulouse will present a program consisting of works by Gabrieli, Frescobaldi, Sweelinck and Scheidt.
On 21 May soprano Monika Mauch and lutenist Nigel North will present a recital titled “A Musical Banquet”. And concluding the season on 8 June Spanish-born Begoña Olavide, accompanied by the Omar Metiuti Ensemble will perform the program “Impressions of Morocco”, based on Works from the Arab-Andalusian tradition. All the concerts will take place at the Collegium Canisianum and at the Landschaftliche Pfarrkirche Mariahilf.
