Instrument énigmatique et mythique, le violoncelle d’amour, ou violoncello all’inglese, reste jusqu’à nos jours inconnu : pourtant il fut utilisé par les principaux compositeurs de l’ère baroque. Philippe Foulon en a fait une spectaculaire reconstitution, et c’est dans la musique des fils de Bach, Jean-Chrétien, Carl Philip Emanuel, que l’on retrouve la littérature la plus éblouissante. Un concert-événement en forme de résurrection.
